A little bit about Jen

Thanks for visiting! I'm Jen, the owner of elizabeth grace photography. You've probably noticed that many photographers share a bunch of little tidbits about themselves on their websites. For example, I could tell you all about my weakness for vanilla frosting, penchant for anything pink and love of playing barefoot in the grass right before sunset on a warm summer evening with my four beautiful kids. If you're reading this page, however, I'm guessing you want to know a little more about my photography background than my "likes" (but if you want to chat about vanilla frosting, a shared love of the color pink or warm summer evenings, I'm game... email me here!).

Like many women, I was so incredibly captivated by the birth of my first child - a daughter, Reese Elizabeth. I would literally stare in awe at the perfection of this new life that I was holding in my arms, and I couldn't get enough of her little toes and her delicate fingers and the way her tiny lips made the cutest pucker. I knew the itty-bitty baby days would quickly pass, and I so badly wanted to stop time and just hold her and absorb all of the warmth and newness and innocence of this fleeting stage. As all moms know, babies simply grow much too fast. And while I never figured out how to stop time, I am so thankful that my camera allowed me to preserve those intangible moments of new baby bliss and turn them into something tangible. I still get goose bumps when I hold images of my children as brand new babies, and I know those memories will be just as treasured by my kids some day.

I spent the first ten+ years of my career in the corporate world where my degree in Financial Economics led to wonderful opportunities with a premier consulting firm and later to a position as Program Director for Fortune 500 company in the retail sector. Photography continued to be my creative outlet and my in-home studio (at the time) afforded me the chance to combine my study on composition, lighting and editing with my technical knowledge while my "day job" provided the business management opportunities I loved. After the birth of my second child in 2007 (another beautiful daughter, Harper Grace), I decided to combine my love of business with my creative passion…and elizabeth grace photography was born!

Am I the right photographer for you?

I love the power that an artistic image has on its viewers, and I love that I get to partner with families to create artwork of the people they love most. I have so much fun capturing the sensual side of pregnancy and so much joy preserving the tender moments of childhood. As a mom I know how meaningful those memories are, both for myself and as a legacy for my children.

Custom photography by a professional photographer is an artistic investment with your family as the subject. It's important that you choose a photographer that reflects your personal style and also matches your desire for quality. I specialize in fun, fresh, intimate and artistic images of bellies, babies, children and those who love them. I use only professional camera bodies and pro-series lenses, and as with the images of my own children, all images you order – whether a gallery wrapped canvas for your family room or a digital image to print for friends – will be personally edited by me with the greatest attention to detail. Your artwork will then be printed by my lab dedicated to professional photographers using only the highest quality materials available on the market. Clients typically spend between $750 - $3000 per session on artwork for their home and gifts for family and friends.

My photography is rarely posed and I aim to capture authentic expressions of you and your children. Portrait sessions are casual and fun with no limits on time, so everyone can relax and enjoy the experience. A typical session will result in 30+ images for you to review in a private, password-protected gallery that is hosted at no charge for seven days. As a parent, I also know how fun it is to have friends and family gush over the latest images of my little ones, so I provide a complimentary Facebook "timeline" digital image with each session, and you are welcome to download and use any images I feature from your session on my elizabeth grace photography Facebook page.

I believe that life is art and there is no better gift to pass down to your child than that of memories. For questions or to talk about your vision for your portrait session, please call 952-994-9358 or email me.
